About where is the nightlife in milwaukee, wisconsin? is there a certain area or strip with all the clubs and bars

Where is the nightlife in milwaukee, wisconsin? is there a certain area or strip with all the clubs and bars?
i'll be traveling to milwaukee, wisconsin to go watch a cubs vs. brewers baseball game. so, i'm also looking to stay in a nice hotel near all the nightlife. any suggestions?

I would say the best night life area would have to be water street downtown. There are alot of bars all in a row and usually pretty jumpin. As long as you stay downtown you should be within walking distance of some bars and clubs go to onmilwaukee.com for more info

I would prefer the name of a psychic in Milwaukee, but I have plans to travel to Chicago, so I would be open to seeing a psychic there.

nope. wouldn't consider wasting my money to find out. why do you need a psychic anyway?

Don't you just love "answers" which don't answer your question? I sure do! I'm not 100% sure she's still practicing, but I do know of someone. I took her tarot class and later on a meditation class. I know she did/does tarot readings by phone and was also expanding into mediumship. But that was a few years ago. I'm hesitant to give her info out, considering the types of people one encounters here. Where is a cool bar in Milwaukee to take a group of guys travelling around Lake Michigan?
We are a group of guys, 2 from CA, 1 from MI, 3 from Germany who are travelling around Lake Michigan. We will be in Milwaukee on Wed the 1st through Thur the 2nd of Aug 07. We might go see the Brewers that night, but that's beside the point. Where is a good bar near downtown or not far from 94 to have some cool fun at, and meet some cool locals?

A good tourist bar is "The Safehouse". It is a spy themed bar.

The Painted Parrot, 82nd & National Ave, Maxie's, 68th & Fairview Ave, most of the bars on Water Street, just North of downtown

Besides the Safe House, you can hit the bars on Water Street or Brady Street. Just walk from one to another.

depends what you want. college bars : Murphys or Caffreys (Marquette University bars) Walk around brady street (Univ of Wis. Milwaukee), they have alot of bars and cafes there The safe-house is pretty cool, but i feel its more of a themed restaurant. for alittle more high end bars: Hi Hat is cool any bars on the east side it really depends on the night and the specials. my recomendation is to go to a college bar after the baseball game (Caffs is the @#$%) then talk to some people and get recomendations of where to go, they can tell you what place is gonna be fun. one thing Milwaukee has enough of is places to drink

St louis to Miami is a lot longer. I've driven them both You can do stl to milw. in about 8 hours. Miami I think took me about 22

What is your mode of travel? I u walk to either one and drive to the other it will take longer to get to the one you walk to. As for which one is further away from St. Louis that would be Miami

Can anyone suggest places worth visiting in Milwaukee and economical mode of transport from Chicago.

Use Greyhound or metra from downtown chicago and check out http://www.milwaukee.org/ for tourism information.

Their zoo is good and improving. Miller Brewery is a must if you enjoy beer(even if you don't enjoy their beer). The Milwaukee Art Museum on Lake Michigan is very good, the park on the lake is also great. In Downtown Milwaukee, the city offers unique architecture that many cities do not offer. There are many things to do in Milwaukee, great places to eat and drink, and it is close to you. Amtrak runs in between the two cities, as do several different bus routes. It is just a short drive up the lake from Chicago, hope you have fun.
