Which one will be more fascinating to tavel across the michigan lake from milwaukee,WI? a ferry or a ship??
I'm planning to travel from Milwaukee, WI to Traverse city, MI across the Michigan lake during September 1st weekend.There is a ferry and a ship that travels across the lake. Which one do you think will be more fascinating? And, while travelling back to Milwaukee I'm planning to drive thru' the upper peninsula. Any suggestions for scenic/must see places is appreciated..

There are only ferries operating on Lake Michigan.

go to the michigan web site and look at discovering the north it gives you good ideas if you plan to stay the night make reservations now because our govenor will be staying on mackinaw island to do the bridge walk on labor day and it is a tradition so people come from all over to do this it's very busy drive rt2 on the way home it is a beautiful drive if you have time stop take a boat across to mackinaw island very beautiful also stop in mackinaw city they have a cool outdoor mall and make sure you get some of their world famous fudge i'm from the bottom of the state and have been many time and it's one of my favorite places to visit well i hope this help's good luck p.s. either way to cross is good
